EVGA GeForce GTX 570 imminent

EVGA is readying for the launch of its GTX 570 graphics card, the slightly tamer version of the power-horse GTX 580.
It’s still a very chunky and impressively specced card, however, featuring 480 processing cores and 1280MB of GDDR5 running at 3.8GHz.
EVGA promises that it will deliver “blistering” DX11 performance. The company notes: “As you have come to expect from the GeForce GTX GPU, the GTX 570 packs support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as Nvidia Surround, 3D Vision, PhysX and SLI.”
Other specs include a core clock speed of 732MHz, a shader clock speed of 1464MHz, and a memory bandwidth of 152GB/s. The card also boasts twin DVI-I outputs, and a Mini-HDMI port.
EVGA is also manufacturing a super-clocked version of the GTX 570, with a bumped up core clock speed of 797MHz, and a memory clock speed of 3.9GHz.
Either card comes with an impressive 10 year warranty, and a bundled copy of 3DMark 11 Advanced Edition, so you can see exactly how super-fast your rig is with this new graphics solution nestling within.
The EVGA GeForce GTX 570 should be available to buy next week, or perhaps later this week if the wind’s blowing in the right direction (or indeed, the snow stops falling). Pricing will weigh in at around the £290 mark.
